Grafana

Grafana has no GGspeak contact point, but its Discord one works: GGspeak reads the Discord body as it is.

  1. In GGspeak, create a webhook under Integrations and copy the link.

  2. In Grafana, go to Alerting, Contact points and create a new contact point.

  3. Under Integration, choose Discord.

  4. In Webhook URL, paste the GGspeak link. It can stay as it is (the body is detected) or end in /discord, which forces the format:

    https://ggspeak.app/hooks/{id}/{token}/discord
  5. Use Grafana’s test button, save, and attach the contact point to a notification policy.

Grafana sends the alert as a Discord embed, and the 1st embed becomes the card:

  • The embed title ([FIRING:1] HighCPU (sp-1 api)) becomes the card title.
  • The embed color sets the state. The red of a firing alert becomes alert, and the green of a resolution becomes ok.
  • The description (values, labels and annotations) becomes the body, cut at 1,000 characters.
  • The embed url becomes the card’s link.
  • The name Grafana sends in username becomes the author of that message.

The full example body is in Formats: Discord.
